Hi! I'm Hollie, aka the Midlife Ex-wife. I'm a 38 year old mom of 2 boys, whom are exactly 7 years apart. I'm also in the process of becoming an ex-wife. I was born and raised in and around Chicago Illinois. Currently I reside in southeastern Pennsylvania. I have had some crazy, fun, cool, unimaginable, hurtful, exciting, and painful life changing experiences. Who hasn't? I'm not the perfect mom, I'm just perfect for MY boys. Oh and I'm not trying to be the perfect mom.
So here I will just get a little bit of my past out there as reference. I have travelled a bit in my life, including to Europe during my first stint in college. I have lived in a few other states too. This includes Iowa (sorry don't remember it), Maryland (was there for the Ravens first Superbowl win), and Tennessee (miss this place the most). I graduated high school in the mid 90's and got my Associate in Arts degree in 2008. I'm not done in school, just have been on an extended break. I'm a psychology major, and well that has come in very handy. What I am not is a professional. Sorry can't diagnose anyone.
I have survived my brother dying (miss you dearly Lou!) which as one can imagine was extremely difficult at the time, but now we just laugh about the fun times and remember him as the crazy, independent, unique, intelligent person he was.
I am also a Breast Cancer survivor. Don't go making a huge deal about this. Two surgeries, no chemo or anything, and I am good to go. I got lucky. Many, many others go through far more than I had to. So lefty is gone and righty is very lonely. The only thing that was really outstanding is that it was found and handled during my pregnancy with Lil Man (see below).
Other than that is the divorce I'm going through. My ex-husband isn't evil, it's not this huge battle, it just is what it is. We don't hate each other, just not in love, and other issues that couldn't be resolved. We are both moving on, as friends.

This is my oldest, E-man, born April of 2004. E-man is funny, intelligent, considerate, loving, and an amazing big brother. Just a little more about him, he was diagnosed in December of 2008 with Aspergers Syndrome (I believe now it is High Functioning Autism). It doesn't define him, but it does affect him. He works hard to overcome the obstacles and I personally think it's great. He also has ADHD Inattentive Type, again he works hard to not let it effect him. E-man is also verbally gifted. That's great you say? Try talking to a kid that sounds like and thinks like an adult.
E-man is also a wrestler. He is in his fifth year as a youth wrestler on our local team. He loves this sport, it works for him, and he gives it all he's got. His goal is to be an Olympic wrestler someday. I wish him nothing but luck and he has my full support in his endeavors.

This is my youngest, Lil-man, born April of 2011. What can I say about this guy. He's only been around a couple of years, but is teaching me a lot. He shows signs of being neurotypical, which is great. I'm just lost on how to work with that lol. He loves to count, loves numbers, and is learning his ABC's. Now if he would just learn to use the potty, I will be a very happy momma!
Lil-man is tall for his age, and most are surprised that he isn't 4 or nearly 4 yet. He is very active, rambunctious, loving, demanding, and loves to laugh.
